When I hear hip-hop and soul I think of influences singers and rappers who write their songs about the narrative of through genres subject matter that represents the truth on reality and their struggles. All of which were understandably relatable and connect us emotionally. This piece is about Music has an affect on people. Songs in the past depicted life struggle happiness betrayal and hard work over time society changes so so does the narrative to music changes the majority of music that are mainstream become more materialistic harsh in reality and sometimes abstract. It has been played repeatedly that society has become desensitized and slowly becomes white noise. It displays the desensitize white noise in the public eye of the black community.
